1870 Census:  #111.  Edmond age 34, Catherine age 29, James age 5, Mary age 4, Elizabeth age 11 months.
1880 Census #122. Township 14 R4E taken July 13, 1860.  Edward age 47, Catherine age 45, John age 15, Mary A. age 13, Elizabeth age 11, Maggie age 8.
1900 Census #267.  Edward b. 1833 age 67, Kate b. 1837 age 63, Mary b. Nov. 1872 age 27.

Edmond Nolan married Catherine Heneberry in Macon County on Jan. 25, 1864.    It is not known if Edmond Nolan was related to the James Nolan family of Moultrie County.

Edmond born 1834 in Ireland, died 1919.  Catherine Heneberry born 1837 in Ireland, died 1915.  Both buried in St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany, IL.  The information below "may" be the same Edmund Nolan as reported herein.

Children of Edmond & Catherine

  • John Nolan:  1864-1953.  Never married, buried in St. Isidore Cemetery.
  • Mary Nolan:  Married Frank Hogan.
  • Elizabeth Ellen Nolan:  b. Aug. 27, 1868 in Moultrie County.  m. Thomas Francis Sheehan on April 24, 1900.  d. Dec. 6, 1957, buried in St. Isidore Cemetery.
  • Margaret (Maggie) Nolan: b. Oct. 17, 1873 in Dalton City, IL, m. Daniel Twohy Bresnan, d. May 1, 1928 in Defiance, Ohio. Nine children.  See  Bresnan History

NOTE:  A Richard Dunn married Margaret Henebry on Jan. 11, 1861 in Macon County, IL.  Margaret could be the sister of Catherine.  There were two other Henebry families in central Illinois in the mid 1800's.  It is believed that these families came from County Waterford and were not directly related to the Henebry's of Galbally.
